Tyro web Five U.S. lands 'Shark'

Other fare includes 'Dreamscapes,' 'Conviction'

Five U.S., the U.K. digital weblet from terrestrial channel Five, will bow Oct. 15 airing 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. with a lineup of American shows including Fox's legal saga "Shark" and missing-persons drama "Vanished."

Details of the schedule and that of sister digital channel Five Life, which bows Oct. 16, were revealed Friday at a launch party at the three-day Edinburgh Intl. TV Festival, which wrapped Sunday.

Among other fare on Five U.S., which will be competing in a tough digital market place, is "Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of," an eight parter based on Stephen King short stories, and "Conviction" from Dick Wolf.

Five Life, aimed at female auds, features U.S. daytime strand "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and Oz's ten-part relationship drama, "Love My Way."
