UTV has put $7 million into "I Think I Love My Wife," which is skedded for a February release. Company will distribute the pic in India and share equally in the exploitation of the rights.
Co-production with Searchlight is UTV's second after the Mira Nair-helmed "The Namesake," slated for a March release.
UTV will co-produce a live-action film and a CG-animated pic with Overbrook.
It will invest $10 million in the still-to-be-scripted live actioner that will have an Indian backdrop, according to UTV chief exec Ronnie Screwvala.
He added that animation arm UTV Toons will handle animation, pre- and post-production work on a toon and kick in $20 million for the budget.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has first look on both films; UTV will distribute in India.
UTV is the second Indian company to ink to co-produce with Hollywood. Reliance's Adlabs signed a multipic deal with Ashok Amritraj's Hyde Park Entertainment, beginning with helmer David Ellis' "Asylum."
Disney bought a 14.9% stake in UTV Motion Pictures parent UTV for $14 million in July.
