Critics zero in on 'Zoom'

Allen starrer is eighth pic to get 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

After a pathetic $4.5 million opening, "Zoom" will come and go from theaters without making much of an impression.

But Sony and Revolution's superhero comedy will live on in another way.

Tim Allen starrer has the not-so-notable distinction of being only the eighth pic to get a rating of 0% on since Web site Rotten Tomatoes started compiling reviews.

That means there wasn't a single print or online critic in the site's extensive sampling of American critics who gave "Zoom" a positive review.

Other pics on the not-so-auspicious list include Roberto Benigni's live-action "Pinocchio," mindless actioner "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever," and "Superbabies; Baby Geniuses 2." Yes, the original "Baby Geniuses" got one good review.

Of course, a film's bottom-of-the-barrel status depends on perspective. On review compilation site MetaCritic, which assigns a numerical rating between 1 and 100 for every review, "Zoom" got a not-quite-terrible 26.

That far from the MetaCritic's lowest-ever rating of 1, tallied by the Pauly Shore opus "Bio-Dome."
