Producing trio to give pic 'College' try

Element, Street, LIFT team for comedy

Sam Nazarian's Element Films, State Street Pictures and LIFT are teaming to produce comedy "College" from tyro scribes Dan Callahan and Adam Ellison. Lionsgate will release the pic through its output deal with Element.

Storyline revolves around three high school seniors who have the wildest weekend of their lives when checking out a nearby college as prospective freshmen.

Project, which is out to directors, is being fully financed by Element.

Producers are Element's Adam Rosenfelt, State Street partners Bob Teitel and George Tilman and LIFT's Malcolm Petal and Morris Bart. Nazarian and Marc Schaberg are exec producing. Co-producers are Rene Rigal and Julie Dangel.

"College," skedded for release next year, reps the second film in Element's nine-picture, three-year output deal with Lionsgate.
