Paramount Classics, Big Screen Concerts and CMT Films have engineered an unusually elaborate world premiere to hype "Broken Bridges," a drama with music starring country singer Toby Keith.

With Ford Trucks as sponsor, the Sept. 7 event will be satellite-fed live to multiplexes in more than 100 U.S. cities, featuring taped performances by Keith and his co-star Lindsey Haun as part of a half-hour intro to the screening of "Broken Bridges."

Threaded through the perfs will be a live red-carpet Q&A with Keith, Kelly Preston, Willie Nelson, Burt Reynolds and other members of the cast at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn., hosted by Country Music TV personality Lance Smith. People attending the event in Nashville and the other cities will pay $12.50 apiece.

Big Screen also will distribute the event and the movie to soldiers at military bases in places such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait.

National CineMedia will handle the satellite delivery of the event, and the theater chains involved include Regal, United Artists, Edwards, Cinemark and Georgia Theater Co.
