HBO gets more 'Enthusiasm'

David laffer renewed for sixth season

HBO and Larry David have reached a deal to produce a sixth season of the critically acclaimed comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

The network confirmed Tuesday that production on 10 new episodes is slated to begin in October. A premiere date has not been set.

During last month's Television Critics Assn. summer press tour, HBO chair-CEO Chris Albrecht told reporters an agreement to continue "Curb" was imminent (Daily Variety, July 13). Last season's finale aired Dec. 4.

David and Robert Weide are exec producers.

"Curb" is up for several Emmy awards this year, including comedy series, lead actor (David), supporting actress (Cheryl Hines) and directing (Weide).
