The Weinstein Co. has set an abbreviated national run of latenight screenings for the pic, Sept. 22 and 23, followed by a DVD launch Oct. 17.
Horror pic -- which will world preem in Las Vegas Sept. 12 -- features Balthazar Getty, Henry Rollins, Judah Friedlander, Jason Mewes and Krista Allen as part of a motley crew of strangers in an isolated tavern battling a family of flesh-hungry creatures.
Tyro Gulager won the third season of Bravo's moviemaking contest skein "Greenlight," along with screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Previous pics created via LivePlanet's "Greenlight" are "Stolen Summer" and "The Battle of Shaker Heights."
When Bob and Harvey Weinstein split with Miramax Films early last year, taking the Dimension Films banner with them in the process, "Feast" landed on the Weinstein Co.'s slate, and initially had a Jan. 20 release date.
"It's a really fun film that will surprise a lot of people and shock some," said Gulager, whose head-butting with studio brass and his pic's screenwriters highlighted "Greenlight's" third season. He said the pic blends "monsters, chicks, explosions, blood and ... a real budget."
Pic was produced by Michael Leahy, Joel Soisson, Larry Tanz, Marc Joubert and Andrew Jameson.
Exec producers included Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Chris Moore, Wes Craven, Gavin Maloof, Joe Maloof, Phil Maloof, George Maloof, Adrienne Maloof and Colleen Maloof.
