Ex-prexies to 'Model' protest

Scribes, CW issues remain unresolved

The four-week standoff between striking writers at "America's Next Top Model" and the CW network remains unresolved, despite daily protests outside the show's production offices.

The WGA West has scheduled a midday demonstration for today featuring 10 former guild presidents and current prexy Patric Verrone. Those slated to attend include John Furia Jr., Christopher Knopf, Daniel Petrie Jr., Frank Pierson, Brad Radnitz, Del Reisman, David Rintels, Victoria Riskin, Mel Shavelson and John Wells.

The WGA West is also planning to invite fans of the reality show to take part in its Friday protest.

For its part, the CW hasn't commented since the show's dozen scribes went on strike July 21, when it asserted that it expected to resolve the situation. The start of the seventh season of "America's Next Top Model" has been tapped as the centerpiece of the netlet's Sept. 21 launch.
