Alleging breach of contract, the tenpercentery says Snipes paid only partial commissions for "Blade: Trinity" and "Chaos," as well as upcoming titles including "The Shooter."
According to the suit, UTA and Snipes entered into an oral agreement around November 2002 in which the actor agreed to pay "10% commission on any gross sums or any other consideration" that he received. Snipes earned $13 million for the third "Blade," released in 2004, and less for the other films. "Shooter" is in pre-production.
Suit says that on or about Feb. 22 of this year, Snipes discharged UTA and from that point on, he has "failed and refused" to pay the commissions that UTA claims it is owed.
