Studio made a preemptive seven-figure deal for a buddy comedy pitch by "Family Man" scribes David Diamond and David Weissman.
Pic will be produced by the "Wedding Crashers" trio of Andrew Panay, Peter Abrams and Robert Levy at Tapestry. No plot was disclosed, but Aviv hinted that, like "Crashers," it has a raucous premise built for two male stars.
It will be released under the Disney label.
While the town tries to figure out the tone of Disney live-action product following the recent cutbacks and exit of production chief Nina Jacobson last week, Aviv said this picture will seek to have a broad appeal that veers toward an adult audience.
The UTA-repped scribes start work immediately. They most recently scripted "Paternity Leave" for New Line.
