Russell Gewirtz ("Inside Man") will write the script. Summit will fully finance the film and produce with Maverick Films.
The psychological thriller revolves around a mental patient with multiple personalities who holds clues to the whereabouts of a serial killer.
Pic will be produced by Summit's Erik Feig and Patrick Wachsberger, with Rachel Rothman, Swank and Victoria Wisdom. Mark Morgan and Guy Oseary will produce for Maverick.
Swank will next star in "Black Dahlia," and "Freedom Writers."
