Goldman will serve as VP of current series and development for the New York-based production company led by Clara Markowicz and Charlie Corwin.
He is charged with developing scripted and reality projects for the shingle. Original produces the TLC reality series "Miami Ink" and concert specials for MTV Network's online channels.
Goldman said he'll be looking to build off the buzz surrounding Original's award-winning features, including "Squid" and this year's Sundance darlings "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" and "Half Nelson."
"It seems only natural to take our movie brand and figure out a way to tie it into compelling television," said Goldman, who will also focus on developing content for alternative media platforms.
Original is in discussions with networks on several projects, which the company is expected to announce shortly.
Goldman produced MTV's "The Shop," a collaboration with Tommy Mottola and Varsity Entertainment. He most recently served as a director of development, working on series for both MTV and MTV2.
