'Adventures' of Underwood

Something 'New' for thesp

Blair Underwood has signed on for a recurring role on the Julia Louis-Dreyfus laffer "The New Adventures of Old Christine."

Underwood will play a "hunky new teacher" named Mr. Singer at the school attended by Christine's (Louis-Dreyfus) son. Thesp has signed on for multiple episodes of the Warner Bros. TV-produced skein, which returns for its second season in September.

Eye most recently cast Underwood in the spring pilot "Company Town," which wasn't picked up to series. Underwood's last series role was the short-lived "LAX"; he also appeared in multiple episodes of "Sex and the City."

In other casting news, ABC Tuesday announced that Brazilian thesp Rodrigo Santoro ("Love, Actually") has joined the cast of "Lost."
