Scribes go clubbing with HBO

Nazemian, Schraft will write pilot for comedy series

HBO has set Abdi Nazemian and Micah Schraft to write a pilot for a half-hour comedy series inspired by the life of Gotham nightclub entrepreneur Amy Sacco. Sarah Jessica Parker will exec produce through her Pretty Matches shingle.

Sacco, owner of New Yorknightspots Bungalow 8 and Lot 61, will be a consultant and Nazemian and Schraft will be co-exec producers.

Parker's Pretty Matches also is teaming with scribe Vanessa Taylor ("Jack & Bobby") for a half-hour HBO D.C.-set comedy "Washingtonienne," inspired by the real-life sexcapades of author Jessica Cutler.

Nazemian and Schraft just teamed with writer-director Pawel Pawlikowski to adapt "Vernon God Little," co-produced by Mike White and Jack Black with Big Beach Films and Film Four. The scribes also are writing "Forever" at Paramount, with Jimmy Iovine producing with Gene Kirkwood and David Schiff.
