Focus shows off its 'Heart'

Hamri to helm Iraqi 'Dreams'

HOLLYWOOD -- Sanaa Hamri will direct Iraqi war drama "Dreams of a Dying Heart" for Focus Features.

Kristin Harms and Larry Kennar are producing via Harms Way Prods. and Code Entertainment, respectively.

Script, penned by Shawn Otto ("House of Sand and Fog"), centers on a journey through the mind of a female chopper pilot who's shot down in Iraq and finds herself in a race against time to save her own life and find a way back to her 18-year-old daughter.

Hamri, just signed by ICM, most recently directed dramedy "Something New," which Focus released in January.

Code Entertainment is in production on Ryan Shiraki's "Spring Breakdown" for Warner Bros. Pictures. Comedy stars "Saturday Night Live" thesps Rachael Dratch -- who penned the script with Shiraki -- and Amy Poehler. Parker Posey also stars.
