The Weinstein Co. has acquired U.S. rights to Aussie/British murder thriller "Like Minds."
The $8 million pic has sold to another 11 territories, including Oz, where it will world preem at the Melbourne Intl. Film Festival Aug. 10. Telepool will release in Germany, Delta in Italy and Svensk in Scandinavia, but pic is back on the market in the U.K. after a deal with Redbus fell through.
Dendy plans a modest October release Down Under, and Arclight is handling international sales. "Like Minds" previously was handled by Becker Intl. before personnel changes occurred at that company.
Toni Collette and Richard Roxburgh topline as cops hunting a serial killer; pic co-stars newcomers Tom Sturridge and Eddie Redmayne as schoolboy suspects.
