In her suit seeking unspecified damages, she alleges that McTiernan paid Pellicano more than $100,000 to illegally wiretap Dubrow in 1997 during acrimonious divorce proceedings.
In the suit, filed Monday in L.A. Superior Court, Dubrow claims she learned only in the last 12 months that she was the victim of an illegal wiretap.
Pellicano was indicted on wiretapping and other charges in February. In April, federal prosecutors filed a criminal information against McTiernan, director of the "Die Hard" series, for lying to FBI agents about his involvement with Pellicano in a wiretapping scheme against producer Charles Roven. McTiernan pled guilty in April.
