Miller was exec VP-managing director of Walt Disney Intl. for the Asia Pacific region, and that position will not be filled. Instead, Stanley Cheung, Disney's Shanghai-based managing director for China, will extend his role to include the Hong Kong office.
"After many years living first in London, and more recently in Hong Kong, Doug Miller has decided to relocate with his family back to Los Angeles," said a Disney spokesman in Hong Kong.
Miller, who has been with Disney for 19 years and in Hong Kong for four, made no statement about his future role.
