Story centers on a famous athlete who's fallen from grace and tries to redeem himself by competing at the Redneck Games, which were launched in 1996 as a response to the Summer Olympics in Atlanta.
Held in East Dublin, Ga., the Redneck Games are kicked off the Lighting of the Ceremonial Grill and feature such activities as Bobbing for Pig's Feet, Hubcap Hurl, the Mudpit Belly Flop, Armpit Serenade and the Butt Crack Competition.
Karz is producing Lionsgate comedy "Good Luck Chuck," starring Dane Cook and Jessica Alba.
Morris recently signed to write mobster action comedy "Committed for Life" for Warners, based on a true story about two undercover FBI agents who pretend to fall in love and whose wedding turns into a law enforcement trap (Daily Variety, June 23). He also wrote the script for Warner's direct-to-DVD film "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning."
