Chrysler revs up pic contest

Grand prize winner to be announced in September

Chrysler and indie production house Silverwood Films have teamed to establish the Chrysler Film Project, whereby emerging talent will compete to make a $1 million feature.

Those wishing to enter the competish must submit a short film, as well as a full-length script. To date, there have been more than 550 submissions from across the country.

From those entries, five finalists will be tapped in the next few weeks to each shoot and edit a short film that incorporates the 2007 Chrysler Aspen and Chrysler Sebring.

The grand prize winner, who will be announced in September, will then develop the script into a feature to be produced by Silverwood.

Graham Taylor, head of Endeavor Independent, arranged financing with Silverwood and Chrysler, and will handle worldwide sales for the finished feature, which will be produced by Silverwood.
