It's musical chairs in Australia's exhibition and distribution biz following last month's departure of Jim Collier, managing director of Amalgamated Holdings' Greater Union loop.

Ross Entwistle has ankled as topper of Sony Pictures Intl. Australia to return to the exhib biz as Collier's replacement at GU.

Before Entwistle joined Sony in 2001, he was programming chief for Village Cinemas Intl.

Stephen Basil-Jones is tipped to be returning home to Oz to reclaim his old job at Sony, which he left in 2001 to accept a promotion to VP of international marketing at Columbia TriStar in Los Angeles. In 2004 Basil-Jones moved to London as DreamWorks international marketing and distribution topper.

UIP's Oz marketing topper Jon Anderson is going to London as Paramount's international marketing VP, and John Scott, marketing manager for Twentieth Century Fox Australia, has resigned to set up his own praisery.
