Palm picks up post-punk doc

Distrib worships Crary's 'Idols'

Indie distrib Palm Pictures has picked up North American and Caribbean rights to S.A. Crary docu "Kill Your Idols."

Pic, which recently won the Gotham docu award at the Tribeca Film Festival, traces New York's underground post-punk music scene, from seminal bands Suicide and Teenage Jesus and the Jerks through contempo acts Sonic Youth and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Palm will roll out the film this summer. Shingle picked up DVD rights in partnership with Netflix.

Rights were repped by the Gotham-based Submarine label.
