RDF USA, the reality TV production company behind ABC's "Wife Swap," has appointed Kirk Schenck president-general counsel.

Schenck will oversee the strategic planning, business, legal and commercial affairs for both RDF USA and Pangea Management Group, the Los Angeles-based intellectual property management and consulting company also run by RDF USA chief exec Chris Coelen.

RDF Media has been ramping up its Stateside operations since earlier this year, naming Coelen to run the division as the first step. He's recruited former ABC exec Greg Goldman to serve as exec VP of current and development and Tony Yates and Wendy Roth to oversee production.

Schenck most recently served as exec VP of business and legal affairs for Fox TV Studios, where he worked on FX one-hours The Shield"  and "Thief" and Fox's upcoming "The Wedding Album." He also oversaw shingle's "The Girls Next Door" for E!, "Cheerleader Nation" for Lifetime and "Inked" for A&E. Before that, he held exec positions at Touchstone TV and LMNO Prods.
