Film agent hops to CAA

Andrews' exit is a blow to ICM

Longtime ICM agent Chris Andrews has exited the agency to join CAA.

Andrews has been with ICM for 19 years and was known as one of the firm's top talent agents.

While Andrews' move is a coup for CAA, it is a blow to ICM: The agency's talent department has lost several key agents and actors over the past few years.

ICM agents Nick Styne and Tracy Brennan left for CAA bringing clients including Cameron Diaz, Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson.

Andrews' client list has included thesps Orlando Bloom, David Bowie, Jim Broadbent, Stockard Channing, Felicity Huffman, Bonnie Hunt, Ben Kingsley, Olivier Martinez, Ian McKellen, Sophie Okonedo, Guy Pearce, Kelly Preston, Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha Richardson, Michelle Trachtenberg and Hugo Weaving.

ICM confirmed Andrews' departure Monday afternoon. "Chris Andrews has left ICM and we wish him well," an ICM rep said.

The exit will have no effect on the company's future plans. In April, ICM announced plans to move from its Wilshire Boulevard headquarters in Beverly Hills to the MGM building in Century City. Last November, the agency unveiled a recapitalization when major equity investments came in from Connecticut-based investor Suhail Rizvi and Merrill Lynch's Asset Based Finance Group.
