They ain't whistling Dixie…

Chicks concerts canceled due to slow ticket sales

The Dixie Chicks may be riding high at No. 1 with their new album, but they're still feeling repercussions from an anti-Bush comment made in London three years ago.

Four concerts on their upcoming tour -- in Houston, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Oklahoma City -- have been postponed after Internet presales failed to meet expectations.

Tickets went on sale June 2 and 3 in about a dozen cities, but four days later, blocks of eight tickets on the lowest levels were available for shows in New York, Philadelphia and Phoenix. In Fargo, N.D., where five country music stations are helping market the local show, a block of eight floor tickets in front of the stage was still available on June 8.
