Script, acquired for low- to mid-six figures, centers on an average Joe who meets a girl described as a perfect 10. However, his own lack of confidence and the suspicions of his friends and family begin to sabotage the relationship.
Anders and Morris were discovered making the film festival rounds in 2005 with a comedic feature they wrote and directed titled "Never Been Thawed." That pic, a mockumentary about a Christian rock band that collects frozen food entrees, landed the duo representation by Mosaic Media Group, where they developed "League" with company execs.
Mosaic Media Group's Jimmy Miller and Eric Gold are in final negotiations to produce the D'Works project. Shingle's George Gatins is credited with bringing the project in. DreamWorks' Jeremy Kramer brought the spec into the studio.
