"I wanted to approach only the small period of the life of King Farouk because 1942 was so interesting," said Miles, who plans to start shooting next year and hopes to film at Farouk's sumptuous palaces. "The film shows how this fickle love affair affected the outcome of the war in Cairo at the time."
