Myers, who'll write the script with Graham Gordy, will play the eccentric Pitka, who is called in to solve a couple's romantic troubles.
As he did with Austin Powers, Myers honed the new character through a series of quiet stage shows. The campaign wasn't entirely covert, as several press reports appeared during the tour. According to one in New York magazine, Myers sported a fake nose and beard, chanted a fake mantra -- "Mariska Hargitay" -- and wore "a pair of assless chaps."
It's the second deal Myers has made recently at Paramount, after he became attached last month to star in "How to Survive a Robot Uprising," a comedy scripted by "Reno 911" creators Thomas Lennon and Ben Garant, with Michael De Luca producing.
It is unclear when Myers will make the film or even what his next film will be. Myers, who is reprising the title character in a third "Shrek" installment, also is attached to play Keith Moon in a biopic about the volatile drummer of the Who.
