Spring Creek's Paula Weinstein will produce.
Allan Loeb is penning the script. In the original film, directed by Doris Dorrie, a self-absorbed man becomes the roommate of the person with whom his wife is having an affair.
Spring Creek's Weinstein has controlled the "Men" remake rights for 15 years but said she hadn't found the right creative match until a meeting with Phillips and Loeb.
"Allan and I see it is as pretty rough, funny and edgy subject matter," Phillips said. "But the theme is actually heartbreaking."
Signed to an overall WB deal last March, Phillips also is developing Zack Helm-scripted comedy "The Disassociate" at the studio. He just completed the comedy "School for Scoundrels," which the Weinstein Co. will release in September.
Loeb wrote the Halle Berry-Benicio Del Toro starrer "Things We Lost in the Fire" for DreamWorks and is redrafting Francis Veber's "The Valet" for Peter and Bobby Farrelly.
