Cable's MySpace race

$50,000 competish generated 22 video submissions

Even showbiz insiders are getting their faces up on MySpace.

Execs at cable's FX channel send up the comedy biz -- and themselves -- in tongue-in-cheeks spots pleading for script submissions at a MySpace page tied to the cabler's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" skein.

"I want you to make me and Nancy laugh so hard we cry," prexy John Landgraf says, holding a dog on camera.

Within days, the $50,000 competish at MySpace.com/sunnyfx had generated 22 video submissions -- and more than 1,600 online buddies on News Corp.'s social network.
