Hire comes shortly after the "American Beauty" duo relocated their first-look deal from DreamWorks to Paramount.
Jinks/Cohen just set up book "The Year of Yes" at Paramount and saw ABC pick up their pilot "Traveler."
Moore spent the last nine years at New Line, most recently as senior veep of production.
"We met an awful lot of people, and knew immediately that Matt was our guy," Jinks said. "He has taste in material, extensive studio experience and is one of the best-liked executives in town."
