B.O. up; 'Lion' roars twice

Road Grosses

NEW YORK -- Road grosses increased in Week 50 (May 8-14) as the 10-show slate grew 2.25% to total $9,739,194.

The Boston run of "Wicked" once again beat its own house record with $1,582,164. The Chicago tour, despite dropping slightly from the week before, was still above the million mark at $1,127,007.

Also breaking the million-dollar mark were the San Antonio run of "The Lion King" at $1,234,522; "The Lion King" in Hartford, Conn., with $1,222,250 and the Chicago run of "Monty Python's Spamalot" with $1,005,679.
