B.O. falls as 'Chi' takes week off

Road Grosses

NEW YORK -- Road grosses dropped in Week 49 (May 1-7) as the 10-show slate fell 13.46% to total $9,524,486.

"Chicago" went on hiatus for the week. Also contributing to the decline, "Movin' Out" in Akron, Ohio, and "Hairspray" in St. Louis dropped significantly, $357,186 and $270,734 respectively, from the week prior. However, the Boston run of "Wicked" again beat its own house record, set last week. The Chi tour dropped slightly from the week before, but still was above the million mark at $1,173,970.
