Par Classics will be the Pavilion's official "greening sponsor" as the tented destination -- located next to the Palais des Festivals -- makes its contribution via use of biodegradable cups, plates, cutlery and napkins; the recycling of cans, bottles and paper; and the installation of reusable carpeting at the fest.
This year marks the first that a full-scale recycling program will be put in place to compensate for the amount of refuse and waste produced during the location's 12-day Cannes run. Org's efforts are being supported by Interface, Native Energy, Stop Global Warming and Global Green.
Par Classics' documentary "Truth" examines the science of global warming mixed with former Vice President Al Gore's personal history and commitment to reverse the effects of global climate change. Pic will be in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on May 24.
