These days, the 4-year-old shop is making a leap onto an even a bigger stage with co-founder J.J. Lask's tyro directing effort, "On the Road With Judas," based on his novel of the same name. Starring Aaron Ruell and Eddie Kaye Thomas, the indie feature -- about a businessman leading a double life as a crook -- just wrapped.
"I have always approached commercials as though they were movies -- as cinematically as possible," says Lask, who has edited a number of ads for docu helmer Errol Morris. "Film was the next step."
The staff at P.S. 260 all pitched in on "Judas" -- some even appear in the movie, including Ryang, who also will work on editing.
With filming wrapped, the shop is cooking up new projects. "We really try to explore every angle we can and be as creative as possible," says Lask. "All this helps our editing -- and that's our goal, to be the best edit company around."
