Rachel Pfeffer will produce through her Disney-based Pfeffer Film banner.
Deal comes as Pfeffer's deal was re-upped for another 18 months by production prexy Nina Jacobson. Paul Nelson will co-produce and Longoria will be exec producer.
Pic will be written by tyro scribes Pamela Buchignani and Lynnette Ramirez.
Longoria will play a spoiled Beverly Hills diva who becomes a fish out of water when she is relocated to San Antonio to run the new Latin division of her ad agency.
Longoria is on familiar ground; she's from Corpus Christi, and she dates San Antonio Spurs basketball player Tony Parker.
Longoria will next be seen opposite Michael Douglas and Kiefer Sutherland in "The Sentinel," in theaters today.
Pfeffer made the pitch deal and the production re-up as she preps "The First Man," the comedy Diane English wrote and will direct about the husband of the first woman elected president. Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep are attached to star. Pfeffer is also producing "Matrophobia: The Fear of Becoming Your Mother," and "The Last Lap," an adaptation of the Mike Leonard book which Pfeffer is producing with Offspring's Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot.
