Civilians bring back 'Vaudeville'

One-night event set for May 8

Jackie Hoffman, DJ Spooky (aka Paul D. Miller), Mary Testa, David Rakoff and the Wau Wau Sisters join hip downtown theater troupe the Civilians for "Patriot Acts: An American Vaudeville," a one-night-only event set for May 8 at the Skirball Center.

Cabaret evening includes bits from the Civilians' latest, "(I Am) Nobody's Lunch," along with performances by the guest artists and bands such as Girlyman and Tom Kitt Band.
