'Men' shot to fall slot

Delayed pic bumped up for Sept. release

Columbia Pictures has skedded "All the King's Men" to be released Sept. 22.

Pic originally was slated for release Dec. 16, 2005.

"All the King's Men" will be released nationally, pitting it against Paramount and MTV Films' "Jackass 2."

Limited releases that weekend are TriStar's "Running With Scissors," starring Annette Bening and Alec Baldwin, and Warner Independent's Christopher Guest pic "For Your Consideration."

Written and directed by Steve Zaillian and based on the novel by Robert Penn Warren, "All the King's Men" stars Sean Penn as Willy Stark, the Louisiana governor inspired by Huey Long, and Jude Law as journalist Jack Burden. Cast also includes Anthony Hopkins, Kate Winslet, Patricia Clarkson and James Gandolfini.
