Anchor Bay, which also incorporates the Manga Entertainment label, is owned by IDT Entertainment, the fast-expanding production and distribution division of U.S. telco IDT.
IDT, which recently hired former Universal and MGM topper Chris McGurk to spearhead its entertainment arm, is planning a push into U.K. theatrical distribution with Anchor Bay.
Lomax is a veteran of the U.K. homevid biz, working at VCI, Polygram Video, Universal and ITV before setting up his own company, Maximum Entertainment, which he sold last year.
