'Access' for Fox stations

NBC TV offers 'Hollywood' to market nets

NBC Universal Domestic TV has engineered upgrades for its showbiz magazine "Access Hollywood" by selling the series to Fox-owned TV stations in Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit and Minneapolis.

These stations will strip "Access Hollywood" in the primetime access slot between 7 and 8 p.m. beginning in September, as will two other top-50-market stations buying the series for the first time, CBS affiliate WIVB Buffalo, N.Y., and NBC affil WOOD Grand Rapids, Mich.

As a result of these deals, "Hollywood" will see primetime-access clearances in 60% of the U.S. when the new season kicks off. Overall, "Hollywood" has station deals covering 95% of the country.

Hosted by Billy Bush and Nancy O'Dell, "Hollywood" is exec produced by Rob K. Silverstein.

The Fox O&Os are KDFW Dallas, WAGA Atlanta, KRIV Houston, WJBK Detroit and KMSP Minneapolis.
