Animus Entertainment has picked up international distribution rights for upcoming new age pic "The Celestine Prophecy."
Pact covers theatrical, TV, DVD and licensing rights for all territories outside the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
Pic, based on a bestselling novel by James Redfield, is being self-distribbed Stateside and opens in theaters in April.
Story involves an amateur adventurer who travels to Peru to uncover new age secrets. Matthew Settle stars in the film helmed by veteran genre director Armand Mastroianni. Redfield co-produces.
Miami-based Animus Group, parent of Animus Entertainment, was founded by Hispanic market vet Damaris Valero; it produces and distributes in areas that include health and well-being.
