Thirty-three projects were selected from 400 to participate in the Tribeca Film Institute's Tribeca All Access Connects program.
The program, in its third year, gives participants access to four days of one-on-one meetings with industryites including filmmakers, equity investors, development execs, producers and agents during the Tribeca Film Festival, (May 1-4) to help foster relationships.
This year's filmmakers represent members of the African-American, Latino, Asian-American, Native American and Pacific Islander communities.
Of the 33 projects, 13 are narrative (scripts with a director attached), 12 are documentary proposals, six are screenplay only and two form part of the festival's Signature Series, an initiative that provides a forum for established directors to debut their latest projects.
One filmmaking team in each category will be awarded the Tribeca All Access Creative Promise award, which comes with a prize of $10,000 for narrative and documentary and $5,000 for screenplay only.
Announcements regarding the winners will be made at the Tribeca All Access Awards and Closing Night Party at the Tribeca Grand on May 4.
