Web site dishes it up on disc doings

Insider blog edited by DVDFile creator Bracke

Now that homevideo is the biggest biz in Hollywood, it's just missing one thing: its own insider gossip blog.

Panandscan.com, which officially launches this week, hopes to change that.

Site, which is in beta testing, has items on everything from the high-def DVD debate to reviews of extras to sales analysis.

And like other insider blogs ranging from Defamer to FishBowl, it comes with the requisite catty tone (" 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' conjured up the expected big DVD sales in its first day in stores, but should they have been bigger?")

Blog is edited by Peter Bracke, founder of news and reviews site DVDFile.com, and published/funded by Yahoo vet Jed Rosenzweig.
