GERMANY -- Following last year's hit comedy "Barefoot," German actor-director Til Schweiger is producing and starring in English-language pic "Blaze."
Written and directed by Swiss helmer Reto Salimbeni, "Blaze" stars Michael Clarke Duncan, Lauren Lee Smith, Stefanie von Pfetten, Eric Roberts and Ned Bellamy.
Schweiger plays a star ad exec whose world is turned upside down after he provides a false alibi for a colleague who, unbeknownst to him, has committed rape.
"Blaze," the first English-language film produced by Schweiger, is shooting on location in New York, Toronto and Cologne, Germany.
"Blaze" is produced by Schweiger's Barefoot Films, Universal Pictures Germany and Manifesto Film.
