New film will shoot entirely in the City of Lights, with Letty Aronson, Stephen Tenenbaum and Gareth Wiley producing, Allen's reps said.
Virtual Films and Wild Bunch are backing the pic, and distrib rights have already been taken by On Pictures in Spain and TF1 in France.
Vincent Maraval, Benjamin Waisbren and Daniel Wuhrmann exec produce.
Wild Bunch has previously repped such diverse pics as Luc Jacquet's "March of the Penguins," George Romero's "Land of the Dead," Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" and Hayao Miyazaki's "Howl's Moving Castle."
After making two pics in London, Allen decided to abandon the U.K. in favor of Paris after Wild Bunch swooped in to negotiate backing on the new project.
No details of the summer pic are available, though one person close to the Paris project describes it as "an American movie set in Paris," in contrast to the helmer's Blighty pics, which were Brit affairs.
Allen's already committed to shoot another pic next year in Barcelona for Mediapro, using international and Spanish actors.
