Idaho-born Headley grew weary of making the dating rounds in Manhattan. She thought that she was being too critical, so to improve her depressing dating life, she decided to say yes to every man who asked her out. The book follows the year of her "yes" life and the comical dates she went on. Memoir is currently on shelves via Hyperion Books.
"The Year of Yes" is "that rare book that immediately calls out to be a big comedy film," Jinks told Daily Variety.
Jinks and Cohen will produce and are hoping to have a writer aboard to adapt within the next month. At the studio, deal was championed by senior veep Marc Evans.
Headley told Daily Variety: "Saying "Yes" to the pairing of Jinks/Cohen and Paramount may be the easiest yes I've ever given. Everyone really gets the material, and these people make the kind of films that feed my writer soul."
