Screen Media taps 'Water'

Indie distrib banner Screen Media Ventures has picked up all domestic rights to the CG-animated and live action pic "Mee-Shee: The Water Giant," which features stars including Bruce Greenwood and Rena Owen.
Film Sales Co. repped the pic, budgeted at around $25 million and produced by Rainer Mockert and Barry Authors.
John Henderson helmed from a script by Authors.
With f/x by Jim Henson's Creature Shop, family adventure follows an 8-year-old who discovers a Loch Ness monster-type creature and must protect the beast from poachers.
Screen Media has a homevid pact with Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
Banner's upcoming releases include the Brian Jones biopic "Stoned," directed by Stephen Woolley.
