L.A.-based shingle has also landed series commitments from WE: Women's Entertainment, National Geographic Channel and the History Channel.
John Scheer and Rob Englehardt head the 10-year-old Kaos, which specializes in nonscripted formats, daytime scripts, service series and documentaries.
Each episode of "American Festivals" will follow Willard as he visits some of the country's more interesting events, including the Renaissance Fair, the Doo Dah Parade and the World Championship Duck Calling Contest. Skein premieres March 28.
WE has greenlit "America's Cutest Puppy," an 11-episode hunt for the country's most adorable pooch. "Auditions" will take place in 10 cities this summer and culminate in a one-hour pageant finale. WE also picked up another season of "Secret Lives of Women," which explores the intimate issues, struggles and surprising opportunities facing women today.
In addition, Kaos is shooting a high-definition action hour for NGC and has a pilot commitment from History.
Production company's credits include Discovery's "Mega Machines" and Animal Planet's "That's My Baby," and it has produced programming for Travel Channel and Discovery HD Theater.
