HOLLYWOOD -- Radar Pictures has preemptively bought and will produce the comedy spec "Lucky's Last Stand" by the writing team of Adam Larson Broder, Tony R. Abrams and Andrew Rose.
Story concerns a one-legged homeless man who finds a special, cleated, wooden leg that enables him to become the new star kicker for the San Francisco 49ers.
Radar's Ted Field and Mike Weber are producing.
Broder and Abrams wrote and directed MGM's "Pumpkin," starring Christina Ricci and produced by Francis Ford Coppola.
Rose is a playwright who graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
Radar produced MGM's remake of "The Amityville Horror" and Sony's "Zathura." Shingle is in post-production on "The Mask Is Back" for New Line.
