Former New Line exec Kate McCreery has joined Charles Finch's new London-based company, Pink Sands, as head of production.
McCreery worked for six years as a creative exec at Fine Line/New Line in London before becoming a consultant for French production outfit New Breed Entertainment. She was involved with the London stage productions of "The Full Monty" and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
Finch, former European topper of the William Morris Agency, set up production shingle Pink Sands last year alongside his artist management, branding and endorsement company, Finch & Partners.
Through Pink Sands, Finch is exec producing Nick Broomfield's feature doc "Ghosts" and TV doc "Big White Self," both for Channel 4.
Finch is also exec producing "Camille," by first-time director Gregory McKenzie, starring Sienna Miller, Harvey Keitel, Nick Stahl and Dan Aykroyd. Lensing begins May 7 in Canada.
Finch and McCreery will exec produce Brit helmer Jan Dunn's "Ruby Red Chequer." Old Vic impresario Sally Green is making her first foray into movies by co-exec producing the project, which starts shooting in May.
McCreery is also bringing projects to Pink Sands, including "The Houdini Girl," "Bushman" and "Africa Hinterland."
